1) Q: How long have you worked at whole foods and do you like working there?
A: I’ve worked there for ten years. Yes, they treat their team members very well.
2) Q: Why did you choose to work at Whole foods, instead of another store like Lucky’s?
A: I’ve always been very particular about what I put in my own body, and so for me whole foods market quality standards aligns perfectly with that.
3) Q: What is your opinion on Gmo’s?
A: We definitely feel there should be full transparency .So for example, we were encouraging everyone to vote for prop 37 to try and have food labeling on food products. we do for our customers is we actually also do have products that are guaranteed non-GMO that are labeled. A lot of our organic produce is non-GMO.
4) Q: When you shop for groceries, do you personally check food labels?
A: Yeah, I definitely check the brand label. It depends what I’m shopping for, but for example, if I’m really watching my budget I’ll stick to 365 or everyday deal products. I normally find something I like, then just stick to it.
5) Q: Are you personally affected by this topic?
A: Yes, I have a lot of food allergies. For me, reading food labels is really important and I’m always really inspired by what the ingredients are. For me, it’s really fun to read nutrition labels.
6) Q: What key words stand out to you when you read a food label?
A: Mainly organic. Natural can be a very loosely used term in most products in grocery stores but it doesn’t necessarily tell you about the ingredients they use. So the things I look for, is if it’s organic or whole ingredients. Also, the additives .
